4 Exercises You Should Do to Tone Your Muscles

Toning your muscles and weight loss requires a lot of discipline. Along with a exercise regimen, it is necessary to eat right, for if you go to the gym every day yet still eat a hamburger afterwards, you are not going to see toned muscles. Here are four exercises you should do to tone your muscles, but remember that these only work if your diet is equally as strict.

1. Push-ups. The main benefit of doing push-ups is the fact that it works every muscle in your upper body, except your abs. But it is imperative that you do push-ups daily. A good idea is to do them first thing in the morning. Not only do you guarantee time to do this exercise, but it is also a great way to start your day.

2. Sit-ups. While push-ups will rock your upper body, the stomach is ignored. Doing sit-ups or crunches will solve this problem. But remember, you need cardio exercise for results to be seen. If you only do sit-ups but no cardio work, your abs will get stronger, but it will not burn calories, which will make your stomach look even more bulbous.

3. Swimming. This is by far the best cardio exercise you can do, but it is not just the cardio that makes swimming so wonderful. It will undoubtedly tighten and tone every muscle in your body. Just take a look at a swimmer’s body: very toned.

4. Running/biking. These are the traditional way to burn calories. You should choose the one that you prefer, since you will be doing it for long periods of time. If you have bad ankles or knees, then you should definitely choose biking, since running puts a lot of strain on both.

By combining these exercises, you will quickly witness your body becoming toner. Give it some time, and you will be very pleased with the results.
