Take control of your stress

Stress can cause your body to react very adversely at times. It is not always something that we can prevent but it is something that we can attempt to control. There will always be stress in your life. The way you choose to handle it is up to you. Although a great way to handle stress is to be able to take time out, book a long weekend at Hotel Looe and figure out what is important in your life, this isn’t always possible.
However, you can take control of the stresses in your day to day life or you can allow them to control you. There are things that you can do that will help to lessen your stress and help you to live a healthier and happier life.
Try carrying a stress relieving ball with you at all times. It is a ball that you can easily squish in the palm of your hand. When you are feeling stressed just simply squeezing this ball can relieve some of the stress and tension that is built up. Sometimes it is good to just squeeze it inadvertently when you feel as though stress is starting to build.
Another great stress reliever is exercise. You do not need to run a marathon or swim the ocean to relieve stress. Sometimes just bouncing up and down or going for a walk will be enough. You need to be able to take your mind off of whatever is stressing you. I know that it is often easier said than done but it is important to find an outlet.
You can read a book, write a story, or do a craft project to release some stress. You do not have to be insanely creative. You can get a kit from any craft store and just escape your own thoughts. Sometimes focusing all of your attention on one thing can stop your mind from thinking about a million things at once. You will be amazed how relieved you will feel when you take control of your stress and stop letting it control you.
