The war against carbs has never been more serious. In times of worrying numbers of obesity and great focus on beauty and appearance it is not surprising that many people set on extreme diets and the first thing they is to cut all kinds of food that contain carbohydrates. Is this such a good idea, though? Some recent studies and clinical research shows that the answer is NO. Carbs play an important role regulating our metabolism and they influence to a great extent the production of “happy” hormones in the brain and thus, can affect the mood of a person.
